1953 (የኢትዮጵያ አቈጣጠር) 5ኛ ክፍል (5C) ... የክፍሉ አላፊ አስተማሪ አቶ ፋንታዬ * የተባለ እኛን እያንዳንዳችንን በስም እየጠራ "አንድ ዘፈን ዝፈን !" እያለ በግድ ያስዘፍነን ነበር ።
 

አንድ ቀን ፍዳዬ ሆነና እኔን ዝፈን ብሎ አዘዘ ፤ እኔም በ 11 ዓመት ዕድሜዬ አይን አፋር እና ትንሽም ኰልታፋ ስለነበርኩ ነገሩ ጭንቀትና መከራ ሆኖ ነበር የታየኝ ። በግዜው የምወደው ዘፈን የነበረው የጥላሁን "ኧረ ምን ይሻለኛል" የተባለው ነበር።

ግን እኔ ስዘፍነው እንደሚከተለው ሆኖ ብዙ የመሳቂያና የመቀለጃ ውጤት አተረፈ !!!

" ካንዴም ሁለቴም ሾሽቴም ... (everybody erupts in laughter)
ፍቅር ደርሾብኛል ... (another laughter)
ግን ዣሬ አዲሽ ሆኖ ... (more laughter)
ይቻወትብኛል ! " .... ( laughter and applause)

* አቶ ፋንታዬ በጣም ዘፈን የሚወድ ሰውዬ ነበር ፤ በመንገድ ብቻውን ሲሄድ እንኳን ድምፁን ዝቅ አድርጐ እየዘፈነ / እየዘመረ ወይም እያፏጨ እና እየተውረገረገ ነበር የሚሄደው ።
 
Fantaye also had  a cruel streak in his personality.  He used to creatively come up with different methods of physical punishment in the classroom if a student talked (disturbed), got an answer wrong to a question, or had not done his homework.  Fantaye administered the punishment himself in the classroom; he did not bother sending anybody to Gagnon's office.

That man was a sadist; but I have no bitterness, anger, or resentment toward him now. It has all been long forgiven now !
